At MacroArt we are committed to sustainability and are leading the way in solutions to reduce the environmental Impact of our work.
In 2019 we commissioned a formal ‘top to bottom’ review of our green credentials from environmental consultancy Green Circle Solutions to bring about meaningful change.
We granted full access to our operations, from sourcing to production and installation, to establish a truly accurate picture of the environmental impact of our business, from which we could drive quantifiable improvements. Importantly, this includes the setting of quantifiable targets.
We are determined to instil true, measurable and transparent sustainability at the core of our commitment, rather than rely on piecemeal, difficult to substantiate claims of green credentials.
We have worked closely with material suppliers and offer a range of eco friendly substrates which are either fully recyclable or made from recycled materials.
Our research and development of new materials to enhance sustainability is an ongoing process to ensure we can bring our clients a range of options to suit their requirements.
We are committed to moving waste up the Waste Hierarchy to ensure our clients gain from our service. We use several sorting methods and technologies to remove as much recyclable material from general waste as possible. Our operation is dedicated towards delivering a sustainable solution to maximise recycling and working towards zero landfill.
We can offer our clients closed-loop waste solutions where we take back and recycle materials as an integral part of the project solution.
We recently installed over 3000 m2 of graphics and signage at the EFL’s Papa John’s Trophy Finals ‘Wembley Weekender’ held at Wembley Stadium. The stadium dressings were produced from a PVC-free material that immediately reduced the project’s overall carbon footprint by more than 30%
Following the completion of the event, all graphics were recovered by our team and returned for recycling in the relevant waste streams.
The carbon footprint of the materials used for the event was calculated and has been offset by MacroArt’s investment in UK Woodland Carbon Units that delivered a net zero carbon impact.
